Kiersten Lake

I have been active in fitness for as long as I can remember. I ran my first 5k road race when I was 8. Running grew in to biking and biking grew in to swimming. I have raced about 30 triathlons in the past 9 years.

I was a runner my whole life…until I wasn’t. What many folks don’t know about me: I was hit by a truck when I was 14 and suffered broken ribs, fractured pelvis and many – too many internal and external injuries to count. I stopped breathing a few times. After the coma, I was in a body cast for about 3 months. I was told I’d never walk again. (Debunked!) I was told I’d never have children. (I have 2 gorgeous, amazing sons!) Which brings me to the moral of my story: “You can quit if you want, and no one will care. But you will know the rest of your life.” `~John Collins.

I live and die by this creed. I am passionate about being a Cycle instructor. I am passionate about coaching triathlon. I am passionate about racing. I am passionate about fitness. There is no quit in me. I bring everything I have to each and every class because it is truly what I love to do. I have been told to just stop smiling so darn much when I ride. I can’t help it…so just smile back. I promise to bring fun in to the room, along with non-stop, heart-pounding, honest-to-goodness hard work and funky beats! My hope is to inspire each and every person to have fun on the bike, work hard and leave wanting more. Be fit. Be happy!
