I’m an avid cyclist who loves sharing his knowledge of the sport with anyone who is interested. What really makes an avid cyclist though? You could say an avid cyclist is someone who has accomplished any one of the following tasks: Ridden 200+ miles in one day, gained 1100+ feet of elevation in a single ride, or commuted 20 miles to work in the dark, cold, and rain. And yes, I have done all of those things. More importantly, I’ve gone through all of the trials and tribulations that are required to accomplish all of the aforementioned.
Why would I ever do all of these “crazy” things? Because I love riding bikes, that’s why. Bikes help me live a stress free, balanced, and happy life. Can someone really achieve all of these things by just riding a bike though? Sure. Bikes allow you to detach yourself from our crazy electronic world and just pedal along. No one is worried about Facebook and spreadsheets when you’re focused on the road in front of you. It’s just you and your bike.
Maybe you’re not aspiring to be an avid cyclist though and just want to burn a few calories, and have fun while you’re doing it. Awesome! I most certainly can help you in that department too! What qualifies me for this? “I’m a people person!” And can handle a stationary bike with the best of them!
Whether it’s your first day at a cycle class and need help adjusting your spin bike, or you’re training to do Seattle to Portland (STP) in one day, I can help you accomplish that goal!
Cycling fitness is a big part of my life and I hope it will be of yours too!
